Youth Small Boat Level 2
Youth Small Boat Level 2 is taught at Gray's Lake on FJ's (depending on age and ability). This is a 20 hour class offered to those who have tested out of our Youth Small Boat Level 1 course. The course is offered for those interested in building their skills or in racing. FJ's are collegiate race boats that are fun for beginners and advanced sailors alike.
You will continue to develop your theoretical understanding of the boat, sail trim, weather, and wind. You will also continue to develop your boat handling skills including roll tacking, proper adjustment of controls, tactical awareness of wind shifts, other boats, and laylines.
Upon completion of this course the student will be able to confidently sail or race on larger lakes on their own. All classes are taught by certified US Sailing instructors.
