Sailing Camp Counselor Course

This class is for any sailor interested in working with youth at the summer sailing camp. You will be helping out the sailing school and honing your skills. You will be assisting instructors with their classes, helping sailors rig and de rig their boats, taking less experience sailors out on the water for informal instruction. Also, this class is perfect for anyone who might be considering being an instructor. You will learn how to supervise small boat sailing activities, with emphasis on safety and fun, safe operation of a power boat, and hands-on practice to familiarize candidates with proper terminology and teaching techniques for course instruction, land drills and water drills.
