Adult Small Boat is taught at Saylorville Marina Precision 15s. This is a 15 hour weekend course that teaches basic sailing skills on small boats.
You will learn sailing terminology, rigging & derigging a boat, knot tying, stopping and starting a boat, leaving and returning to the beach or dock, tacking and jibing, capsize and overboard recovery.
This three day course runs from 5:00 to 8:00 pm on Friday and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm (with a 1 hr lunch break) on Saturday and Sunday. We will spend about 3 hours on classroom instruction, 3 hours on land drills, and 9 hours on the water.
